For this event, Pickleball Power Play will be offering 2 different class times. We will provide a morning session and an afternoon session. Participants may choose one or the other. Both classes will be the same.

Each session will host up to 32 players and is designed to be both educational and hands-on. The first hour will cover the main rules and fundamentals of pickleball, including scoring and formats. For the remainder of the session, you’ll dive into the action, playing games to put your newfound skills to the test. Playing is truly the best way to learn! Coaches will be on hand to guide you every step of the way, ensuring you feel confident and ready to enjoy the game.
What You Need To Play This Event
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, here’s what you’ll need for Pickleball 101:

Closed-Toe Shoes: Please wear closed-toe shoes—no open-toe shoes will be allowed. Power Play strictly enforces this rule for your safety.

Tennis Court Shoes (Preferred): While not mandatory, tennis court shoes are highly recommended. These shoes provide the best support, improve performance, and help prevent injuries on the court.

No Paddle Needed: Don’t worry about bringing a paddle! We’ll provide paddles for all participants.

What is included in the $40 fee?
The registration fee includes a three-hour session of Pickleball 101, where participants will receive comprehensive instruction on how to play pickleball. Paddles are provided, so there’s no need to bring your own equipment. Additionally, food and drinks will be available, generously provided by the Lions Club of Cameron.
What happens if I can’t attend after I’ve paid?
Once payment is submitted, refunds are not available. However, in the event of bad weather, we will reschedule the event and ensure your spot is reserved for the new date.
Is this event suitable for beginners?
Yes, this event is perfect for beginners. Pickleball 101 is specifically designed to teach the basics of the game, including rules, scoring, and gameplay. Even if you’ve never picked up a paddle before, you’ll feel confident and comfortable by the end of the session.
What age group is this event best for?
We recommend this program for participants aged 12 and older. While we aim to be inclusive, this is primarily an adult-focused program. For children aged 11 and under, we feel this may not provide the best experience. Do I need to bring my own paddle?
No, paddles are provided for all participants, so there’s no need to purchase or bring your own equipment.
What kind of shoes should I wear?
Closed-toe shoes are required to participate. Open-toe shoes are not allowed for safety reasons. While any closed-toe shoe is acceptable, we strongly recommend tennis court shoes for optimal support and to minimize the risk of injury.
How do I register for the event?
